Work

I am a product manager at the Department for Education in the UK. I’ve worked on a variety of digital services focused on training and retaining teachers.

Currently, I’m working on rebuilding the digital services that facilitate early career teacher training and induction.

Before this, I was a primary school teacher. I worked in Nursery, Reception and Year 1. One of my favourite memories was getting my Year 1 class to join in with a mock election and write manifestos for if they became prime minister. There was a lot about giving puppies to people.

I left teaching because of the workload and stress. I like working in digital in projects where we can reduce workload for teachers and make things easier for everyone working in education.

I also worked briefly in education technology, mainly training schools, making grammar robots and videos about addition.
